Vehicle Description

This is a top of the line 48 FORD TRUE CONVERTIBLE, this car is all steel-- seams all welded and filled. Flawless paint--GM Torch Red with clear coat.

Here are a few items to note on this classic:

This car is not a cut up coupe but a true STEEL 48 Ford convertible.

Lower exterior door hinges removed and hidden, custom inter running boards built to match car, the trunk lid has been shorten almost a foot and a bottom corners rounded, and has recessed LED lights installed inside 1941 Studebaker tail lights. Front fenders have been reshaped and smoothed out to clean up the front end, and cowl vent have been removed and filled. The doors open by pushing a button built in the top of each door. This car has been done in all METAL.

The frame is stock 48 ford convertible and fully boxed. The front suspention is a Fatman IFS with tubular uppers and lowers, with power rack and power brakes.

The rearend is a Ford 8" with Drum brakes, and the car rides on air-ride technologies, air bag on all 4 corners.

The engine is a new 290HP 350 Chevy Crate motor, and a new 700 R4 Transmission

Interior has Lexus power seats on both sides, with custom center console and dash built by Allison Customs, the steering column is a IDDIDIT. Billet Specialties steering wheel and all 4 windows are power.

Top has been chopped 3 inches and covered with Hartz cloth. Everything in the top is new and is a power folding top and works perfect.

This car is equipped with wipers from Newport Engineering. Heat and air combo is from Vintage Air.

The Wheels are 17 inch Billet Specialites, and is fueled by a 12 gallon stainless steel tank.

All the work on the car was perfomed by Allison Rod and Customs and interior is ultra-leather installed by Billy Scotts all from the Louisville, Kentucky area.

Keep in mind this car has 3900 since restoration and finished July of 2010.
